How to Properly Organize Your Photos in Lightroom

The more time you spend as a photographer, the bigger your image collection will become, and if you do not put good effort into keeping things organized, it can become difficult to navigate through all your photos. This great video will show you how to use star ratings and keywords to keep everything organized and easy to find.

Coming to you from Morten Hilmer, this helpful video will show you how to use a combination of star ratings and keywords to keep your Lightroom library organized. The libraries of seasoned professionals and hobbyists often reach well into the tens or even hundreds of thousands, and as such, having a well-structured organizational system is key to being able to find what you want, especially if you need to find a photo from months or years back. I learned this lesson once my catalog hit about 10,000 images a few years back, and I had to spend a weekend watching movies and organizing all my photos, but it was well worth it in the long run, especially when a client occasionally asks for a set of images that are buried deep in my library. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
